WAKO European Championships 2023

Harley 8 and Cole 6 from Andover have been members of Fighting Falcons Martial Arts since they were 6 and 4 Years old.

Harley at the age of 8 currently holds 2x British titles, is a 2x North Hants Champion, 2x Bristol Open Champion and a Peterborough 8 and under Open Weight Champion.

Cole at the age of 6 is a British National bronze medalist.

These achievements are a result of the amount of time and dedication that Harley and Cole put into their training. They train a minimum of 3 times a week with 2-3 hours of training each day. They also attend online training sessions as well as monthly GB Squad training.

Harley and Cole have both qualified and been selected to represent Team GB for the WAKO European Championships in August which will be held in Turkey.

Currently kickboxing does not recieve any financial support to assist its athletes therefore all associated expenses such as training, kit, equipment, travel, competition fees etc must be self-funded.

The cost per athlete is in the region of £1500, this is to cover flights, accomodation, competition fees, fight suit and tracksuit. As Harley and Cole are children they require parents to travel with them which incurs additional costs.
