A message from the inmate participants who are working to improve themselves:

We are reaching out today because we need your help.

Our Gavel Club is a division of Toastmasters International, whose mission is to "empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders".

At our club, we provide a supportive and positive learning experience through weekly organized meetings. We speak on various topics and assist one another in developing our public speaking skills; thus enhancing our self-confidence and resulting in personal growth. These meetings are run much like a corporate board meeting, where members rotate into key roles to run the meetings and the overall organization - providing exceptional opportunities to grow as leaders.

We need assistance in funding these activities, to purchase resources like office supplies and training courses to further our mission to become the best leaders and communicators we can be. Any donation that you could make would greatly enhance our ability to to run the most effective club possible, and to be quite honest, will provide some hope for us inmates in the club attempting to better ourselves during this difficult time in our lives.

We most sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this request, and we thank you in advance for your consideration. 100% of any donation (minus GoFundMe Fees) will go directly to the Higher Standards Gavel Club of Wakulla C.I.- Main Unit, and is a tax write off as a registered non-profit organization.
