Wildfire in Rhodes

The beautiful island of Rhodos has been burning for 8 days now! People have to leave their homes, tourists had to be evacuated and our beautiful forests and animals have been burned and left wounded without water or medical care.

The locals are trying their best to help the situation and are once again showing their great hospitality by creating shelters and providing water and food for the evacuated tourists. But now they need YOUR help! The fire has extended and due to the heat, the wind and limited resources it hasn’t been extinguished.

By donating to our campagne you are helping us provide safe clothing, fire extinguishing equipment to the voluntary firefighters, to fight the fire and prevent fires in other areas of the island. You are making sure people in need have water and food. You are helping getting resources to care for wounded animals. All money that will be left will be invested in reforestation once the fire has been gone and the situation allows to plant new trees. We truly appreciate your support
