Wales Rugby League u16s 2023 season

Following on from 2022s unbeaten series, which included two wins against England, Wales Rugby League U16s are about to embark on their new 2023 international campaign, facing England again both home and away with a furher international fixture against Irelend.

To enable the squad to compete at the highest level we need to raise vital funds to ensure the continued level of success on the international stage and continue to build the success of Rugby League throughout Wales. As we look ahead many of those selected this year will be eligable to complete at the forthcoming World Cup. So with your support we will be able to ensure a bright future for the superstars of tomorrow.

Where the funding goes

During the course of the campaign we train numerous times across Wales, and some of the funding will go into venue hire. We are lucky enough to have support from our community game, however we do require room hire to show training analysis, game footage and other aspects that are not practical pitch side.

Before we play an international fixture we also spend time together as a squad at various training camps, this ensures all players spend time as a team. Here we train, go through various fitness programmes and also hold different workshops for the players from outside sources so they are learning throughout their journey with the squad. Whilst in camp we also make sure they are eating a well balanced pre planned meal put together by our S&C coach.

As you would also expect from an international side we are expected that each player has the right amount and variety of traning kit, as well as the prized playing kit.
