Walk for Cancer (Adelaide to Sellicks)
Donation protected
On 6th March 2021, the three of us (Luke, Michael & Scott) will attempt to walk 60 kms from Adelaide to Sellicks Beach.
Originally an idea that eventuated over a few beers, has slowly became a reality that we have committed to achieving.
The three of us have each lost a parent to a form of Cancer over the past few years, and countless friends and family continue to be affected by someone they know or love who are diagnosed with the affliction.
The aim is simple; undertake some form of basic training and hope that we can complete a 12 hour walk without becoming sick of one another.
But for a good cause, we thought it would also be a terrific opportunity to raise some funds for the Cancer Council, Leukemia Foundation and the Breast Cancer Network Australia. All of these are amazing organizations that do some incredible things for both patients and their families, and we'd love to donate some valuable funds to make a difference in the lives of Australians affected by these illnesses.
Any money that we can raise prior to, during and after the walk will be withdrawn to my personal account and donated evenly to the Cancer Council, Leukemia Foundation and the Breast Cancer Network Australia via their individual donation pages on their website. We will post the donations through to our Facebook page once done for everyone to see.
Our goal does not stop at a one-off walk for a good cause, as we hope that we can build a sustainable platform to make this an annual walk for charity getting more and more people involved in the walk itself.
Any support to our walk is greatly appreciated, even if it's a well wish of good luck on the day of the walk!
