Walk for Musical Memories Dementia Choir

Musical Memories Choir is choir with a purpose! Our aim is to bring music, friendship and quality of life for people people living with dementia and their families and carers. Pre COVID 19 we met twice a week in two locations in Swansea and were 150 strong between the two groups. With lockdown our amazing choir leader Ros swung into action and switched to recording virtual choir sessions 5 days a week and we produced songbooks, CD's and DVD's to keep the singing alive at home. 1000's of people from Swansea and beyond have tuned in to sing with us. So far we have recorded nearly 130 sessions!
With funding sources uncertain for the coming year Ros and Helen are putting on their walking books and are going to go a wandering with a Knapsack on thier backs from Rhosilli to Mumbles! We are also going to be joined by the Lord Mayor of Swansea Cllr Mark Child as he has chosen us as one of his charities to support this year. 
If you have enjoyed the virtual choir sessions or would like to help us keep them going and hopefully restart choir sessions when it is safe to do so we would be very grateful for a donation no matter how small, every penny counts! Help make a difference to bring friendship and singing to people living with dementia and thier amazing families. 
We are going to pick a dry day in the coming month (our current plan is the 30th October) and will let you know when we set off.
