Walk for Women’s Rights
Tax deductible
The events of the election have shown that our votes are not enough to keep us safe anymore. As a woman with the privilege of living in a state with access to proper health care (because yes, abortion is healthcare), I’ve decided I can’t just vote anymore. I need to take action.
This Saturday 11/9 at 8am I’ll be walking for the sisters, mothers, wives, daughters, cousins, friends and people with uteruses who, in the words of former First Lady Michelle Obama, are begging you to take their lives seriously. Me and my mom will be starting in my downtown where a Planned Parenthood used to be and ending in the same location 13 miles later in honor of the 13 states in the US that have full abortion bans. All proceeds will go directly to Planned Parenthood, hopefully contributing to keeping their doors open nation-wide.
Please donate if you can, if you can’t, amplify or do a walk of your own. Or if you’re in the CT area, come join us!
None of us are alone, none of us are powerless, even a few small steps can make a difference.
