Timbuktu Walk-a-thon - June 19, 2017
Our students are Walking For Literacy in 2017. We are rebuilding our library to a 21st Century State-of-the Art Library PROGRAM.
We will create a space for collaborative learning with technology at our students fingertips, a host of books, magazines, eBooks, and more.
Statistics have shown that a robust library program increases literacy and provides a foundation for lifelong learning.

Construction of the new 21st Century Library will occur during the 2017-2018 school year.
Timbuktu Academy is a 20 year-old, K-8 charter school on Detroit's East Side. Despite living in one of the city's poorest neighborhoods, our students are focused, intelligent and a joy to be around.
