Walk On Western

Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page.  During the pandemic, in order to stay busy and healthy, I would venture out on long walks through my neighborhood and adjoining suburbs. While on these walks, I would constantly think that I needed to add a purpose to them that would benefit others beside my own personal health. Therefore, beginning at 6am on Saturday, June 19 , I am doing a solo walk from 7500 S. Western to 7500 N. Western. My goal is to raise $7500 (22,500 meals) to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Western Avenue is the longest street in the city of Chicago and provides easy access to many diverse communities in our city. It  is the only continuous street that links the far south side border of Chicago to the far north side border. My Walk on Western will take me through neighborhoods that benefit greatly from the services provided by the Greater Chicago Food Depository and should take roughly 6 hours to complete. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
