Walk with us. Luka & Marc on the Marathon des Sables Trek.

At the end of October 24, Luka and I will participate in one of the world's most beautiful yet hardest desert treks: the Marathon Des Sables Trek in Morocco. It will be challenging to surpass ourself, push our physical limits and disconnect for a week from our day-to-day lives. 7 nights in the desert, 120 km in pretty harsh desert temperatures over 4 stages. It will be a very physical but also mental journey. But we will be traversing some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Sahara.

We will not walk alone. We will be guided by my parents who will watch over us from the vast desert sky. They faced dark moments in their life, losing the battle against two of today's most formidable foes: depression and cancer. I'll never ever forget watching my lovely parents face these hard challenges, whilst showing patience, optimism and emotional endurance. Their journey was more challenging than any trek imaginable.

In Morocco, we will carry them with us, km by km. And you can help. We are raising funds to support two charities: Kom Op Tegen Kanker, a non profit supporting cancer research, and Te Gek, a non profit org promoting mental health initiatives.
