Walk for Ben
Donation protected
Ben Lott is a primary school teacher who taught at Corpus Christi Primary School for 5 years. Prior to this he worked at other schools within the Diocese of Broken Bay. He is married with two young children and moved to Branxton 3 years ago where he is a well respected and loved member of the Rosary Park School and community.
Ben was diagnosed with Brain Cancer earlier in the year. He has undergone costly treatment which involved spending time in Japan. There has been an amazing show of support for Ben with various fundraising across the state and many of you would be following the "Ben's Big Battle" facebook page .
Whether you know Ben as a colleague, friend or your former teacher, you will know him as not just a great teacher but a humble, genuine, all-round good guy with a great sense of humour who would help anyone who needed it.
We will be participating in our Walkathon on Sunday Dec 3rd 2017 to show our support for Ben.
Where: Freshwater Beach to Shelley Beach return (approx 6.5km)
Time: Registration will be from 3:00pm at Freshwater Reserve. Participants can begin walking anytime between 3:00pm-4:00pm.
For those with small children or prams an alternative route can be from the northern end of Queenscliff beach (approx 5.2km).
We are inviting all teachers, students and families who would like to help raise money for Ben's ongoing treatment by walking or making a donation. For those who are unable to walk you are welcome to join us at Freshwater Reserve anytime during the walk. If you cannot make it on the day please read below as to how you can show your support.
