Walking 380km to Empower Girls through Education

Hey there, we're Faith, Alessia and Ryan!

This fall, we’ll embark on a 380-kilometer walk from Spain to Portugal. Our mission is to raise funds that will help cover the cost of education for the girls at Bata ng Calabnugan, a children's home in the Philippines.

Why Bata ng Calabnugan?

Throughout the better part of last year, both Faith and Alessia immersed themselves in life in the Philippines and spent their time volunteering with BNC.

This experience allowed them to witness firsthand the genuine love, care, and dedication of the organization towards the children they serve. During their time there, they got to learn the stories of these amazing kids and understand their aspirations for the future, all of which revolved around the cornerstone of education.

The Cause:

Education can be a life-changing force, particularly for girls. Sadly, many girls in the Philippines face challenges accessing education due to financial constraints and cultural norms. Education plays a vital role in transforming communities and societies. When girls receive an education, they gain confidence, knowledge, and skills to pursue their dreams and contribute positively to society. Educated girls are more likely to break the cycle of poverty, make informed life choices, and become agents of change in their communities.

The Giving System:

Your contribution can create a real impact:

$50: Covers one girl's school expenses for a month.

$200: Provides educational materials and uniforms for two girls.

$500: Supports three girls' tuition fees for a semester.

$1,000: Helps establish a scholarship program for girls pursuing higher education.

$2,000: Becomes an education champion for the entire year, supporting multiple girls in primary or secondary level.
