Walking from England to Africa

I'm walking to Africa.

In early September I'll be setting off on what's set to be my most ambitious adventure to date. Over the course of around 100 days I'll be making my way from my parents house in Sussex to the border of Morocco, traversing the entire length of France and Spain on my way.

Please consider supporting my journey by making a donation to Care4Calais.

Every year thousands of African and Asian refugees are forced to make their way to Europe, risking their lives and subjecting themselves to numerous hardships in an attempt to flee persecution, extreme poverty, political oppression or war.

Many die on the way. Others live in squalor, unable to access health care, clean water, food or accommodation. They are vastly persecuted by local governments and rely almost entirely on charities for support.

Care4Calais works with refugees living in Calais hoping to cross over to the UK to be able to seek asylum. Most have migrated from some Syria, Africa and South Sudan, some of the most dangerous countries in the world. Their tents are routinely destroyed by police and their sleeping backs confiscated.

Care4Calais does essential work providing these people with basic humanitarian aid. They offer vital support helping those that governments refuse to acknowledge.

Please consider making a donation to help their work. No amount is too small.
