Walking In The Shoes Of Empathy
Donation protected
If we could walk in the shoes of other people every day, and see life through their eyes, how could that reshape humanity and public empathy? My name is Micah J. Wonjoon Kessel, and our team thinks this is possible - in fact, we've been doing it, with great enthusiasm. You can be a part of this new initiative by helping us build our library of immersive stories.
Each story we create centers around the life of someone from a marginalized community. If you are different from the person, you see their perspectives better, empathize, and become a better ally. If you are from the same marginalized community as the person, you will feel more seen, heard, and grounded in your lived experiences.
With every $25,000 raised, we can create a new immersive persona for everyone to walk in the shoes of, that could have any of the following identity factors:
• Disability
• Gender identity
• Sexual identity
• Race
• Ethnicity
• Nationality
• Socioeconomic status
• Religion/spirituality
I'm sharing a short three minute video here that introduces myself and our experience as well as this amazing journey video we've made about the first leg of our walk in my shoes experiences. To read about our history, click here . Also, if you'd enjoy seeing this revolutionary approach of empathy building yourself first, I'd like to invite you and any colleagues or friends, to simply attend a virtual session of the experience to see it yourself. In that case, or even just to chat first, please sign up for one anytime and bring friends, here !
Thank you for your support!
