Isaiah 9:2 says, "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness." I invite you to Walk with the Widger Family through their darkness and be a light.
Jamie's Story
"So, I went to the surgeon earlier this week. I have to have a complete jaw replacement on the right side (when that jaw is taken out, the arthritis will go with it!), they are trying to salvage the left. I will have to have a disc pulled back into place and held with a screw and my jaw has to be broken and repositioned on the left. I am definitely overwhelmed to say the least!!! I am okay with surgery and ready to go, but the financial aspect of it is going to have to be finangled and causing me great stress. This surgeon is only 1 of 9 in the US.....it is all out of network. Since my weight loss, my body can't handle the pain and I have been in immense pain the past two months. I have had to resign from my job and have been in the bed the majority of the time. Stress makes it worse. My headaches get so bad that I become nauseous, I start to stutter and have to lay down with a heating pad on my face. It normally takes 4 months for the custom jaw to be made, the surgeon is putting in a rush for 2 months for me. Once the jaw is in and payments have been made, we can rock and roll. Please pray for myself and my family as I am really down at this point....."
Total expenses for the surgery alone will be in the ballpark of $28,000-$30,000 not including any other additional fees outside of the surgery. Let's take little steps toward this goal to make a BIG impact.
