Wally’s Kidney Transplant Journey

Hi, my name is Sophia and I am fundraising for Wally’s medical bills. As a child, he had complications with his kidneys that are now functioning at less than 10% and causing him to need a kidney transplant at 36 years old. Currently he does not have insurance, and we are doing our best to ensure that the transplant happens. We are at the very beginning stages of this journey and don’t know yet the full cost for these life-saving procedures. We do know his dialysis medicine will be $5,000/month until he can receive the transplant. But without insurance or cash on hand, the medical professionals will not help my husband, so we’re looking for a way to get his dialysis started and continue the process of filing for disability. We are planning other fundraising events as well. We are not sure how long this journey will be, but we know one thing: Vivi, our 1.5 year old, needs her dad. Thank you!
