Walmart Loss Prevention Officer Shot at Work
Donation protected
My brother, Brad Scurry, was shot while on the job at Walmart on Dec 11, 2020. Someone who has no respect for his life or others decided to shoot him over a bag of stolen goods. Thankfully he survived emergency surgery at Grady hospital in Atlanta, but the bullet caused a lot of internal damage and he's currently in the ICU recovering. He has a long road ahead of him to recover and will be out of work for at least 6-8 weeks. My brother has served his country as a US Army Infantryman. He has the biggest laugh and the best sense of humor. He talks too loud and passionately about the things he loves, especially his three amazing daughters, who he is IMMENSELY proud of and loves more than anything in the world. His happiest days involve spending time with his daughters and family and cheering for his favorite football team since we were kids—the Denver Broncos! He's one of the brightest people I've ever known.
Several years ago, after our mom passed unexpectedly, he had some struggles. He's turned his life around these last two years and is looking towards finishing his college degree and continuing to rebuild his future only to be struck by this event. I'm asking for assistance to help cover some of his expenses as he won't be able to work and his bills will still come due. He doesn't know I'm doing this, he's prideful and doesn't ever ask for help, but I know he would be grateful for any amount you are able to help.
