Walt & Carol Halverson Care and Support

If you grew up in Tomahawk I'm sure you know the Halverson's! Walt was a teacher all his life and has played a part in many people's lives through his teachings, and Carol working in the medical field has also helped many.  After just getting through the first year of losing their son Todd, who was a BIG part of our community,  after passing from covid, Carol was diagnosed with cancer.  Just when you think a family couldn't take anymore,  Walt & Carol were in Madison for one of Carol's appointments when Walts defibrillator shocked him putting him in the ER! This unfortunate trip to the ER turned from one thing into another where a week later turned into kidney failure and then a stroke.  Carol has been staying down in Madison visiting Walt every day.  Carol herself is scheduled for surgery this coming week for her cancer.  Walt & Carol would never be the type of people to accept help or any kind of handout but instead always willing to give it when needed.  This kind of tragedy isn't something anyone could ever in a million years think would happen,  especially to such kind people.  If you have it in your heart to help with the overload of bills and expenses that they are and will be struggling with we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
