Wan Smolbag Theatre is one of Vanuatu’s largest and most dynamic non government organisations. Working in Vanuatu and the Pacific for nearly 35 years it truly is a remarkable organisation that has changed many lives, including mine.
On March 1st 2023 severe cyclone Judy (Category 4) hit Vanuatu and 2 days later cyclone Kevin that hit (also Category 4), came from another direction further devastating what Judy had left. The staff of Wan Smolbag looked after over 400 people on the night of 1st March and many more came in to seek shelter when Kevin battered the islands. The Wan Smolbag staff have also been left bereft. Many have lost their homes or had their belongings destroyed. They now urgently need help so they are able to keep working and help their communities. Please support if you can.
