Wanda Posey Medical Emergency

Wanda is a Northern Arapahoe tribal member from the Wind River Reservation in Fremont County Wyoming. We are raising funds to stay by her side in Billings, MT away from our home in Colorado. On Wednesday January 10th, she was life flighted to Billings, Montana from Wyoming with an infection in her leg. Upon her arrival she immediately went into surgery where they ended up amputating her leg just below the knee. The following day when her tissue cultures came back we were informed she had flesh eating bacteria. She again went into surgery on Thursday afternoon to remove more of her leg to just above her knee. The infection tried to spread to her lungs and both lungs have now collapsed. The doctors have contained the infection but she will require an additional surgery to tack down her lungs. She is still in the ICU after 5 days and will not be moved out of critical care until her lungs improve. We are her family, only child Alex, wife Abigail, and grand kids Kanyelle and Trayton. We are asking for help with lodging and travel expenses to go back and forth from our home in Longmont CO to Billings MT to be by her side. We don't currently have a timeline of how things will go.
