Wanda Steele's battle with Cancer

Hello Everyone,

My name is Tosha Davis. I am Wanda Steele's aunt and sister to Trisha (Wanda's Mom). Wanda is a beautiful 16-year-old teenager who received awful news last week. Wanda and her family need your generosity during this time. We found out a week ago that Wanda has Hodgekin's Lymphoma. Hodgkin's lymphomama is a cancer of lymph tissue. Lymph tissue is located in the lymph nodes, spleen, liver, bone marrow, and other sites. St. Louis Children's Hospital has been watching her very closely over the past several months and she has already had 2 to 3 surgeries to remove the tumor that continues to grown back.

We recently got the news this past week that it's time to start Chemotherapy and possible radiation if the chemo does not kill it all. Wanda heads into surgery tomorrow, 10/27/23 to have her Chemo Port put in. The Chemo treatments start first thing next week and she will be in the hospital 4 to 5 days next week depending on how her body does with the chemo drugs.

In the meantime, Wanda and her young brother have been reunited with their mother, who is doing a good job of being their parent again. Trisha is working 36 hrs a week but with having to go back and forth to St. Louis every week for the next three months while Wanda receives her Chemo; Trish will not be able to work much. Trisha still is required to pay the rent, utilities, and gas for all of these trips etc. This is where we as a family can only do so much to help and we are asking for you to please help provide for Wanda and Trisha as they will be spending 3 days in the hospital one week and the opposite week a another couple days. Trisha is a single parent who has kept a job and provided for her kids as a mother should since we lost our mom almost two years ago.

Please lift Trisha, Wanda, and Zane Steele up in prayer as they walk this hard road for the next several months.
