Wanda “Woo” Goforth’s Medical Fund

Beginning April 2021, Wanda acquired a serious and highly resistant kidney infection. This led to 6 months of unsuccessful treatment causing her to become physically immobile and delirious, and unfortunately she has not recovered since. Wanda was in the hospital for over a month for IV care and has since been in skilled rehab battling this recurrent infection. She continues to decline, currently unable to use either side of her body effectively, and her memory is becoming poor as well. Because she is unable to move most of her body on her own, it causes the facility to transport her by ambulance to all of her health appointments. These transports are not covered by insurance and are adding up quickly and exponentially for her devoted husband and caregiver, John Klimko, who is the sole provider for their home.
