My Sister Shantelle Whyte, (“telly” too most people) is a Vibrant, Loving, Beautiful Single Mother of 4 amazing young Boys! Ages 15, 13, 11, & 8 she is a CONSTANT COMMUNITY ACTIVIST always helping where she can! As a coach of the Wappingers football team as well as the soccer team, and a member of the PTA and a life long resident of Wappingers falls, she has been there for anyone an everyone who has ever needed over the years, myself included an unfortunate, she is now in need of a little love to be returned!.

On Thursday November 2nd while Shantelle and her boys were at home getting through the day like any other, All was well. As the local crew men for the Central Hudson gas an electric company were working on a local pipeline that led directly to my sisters house.

until the next second at 12:20pm when a spark caused an ignition sending the pressure through the pipe lines until it reached the end of the line which was my sisters unit that she lived in, where her entire house completely exploded while they were still inside. Trapping her an my nephews inside under rubble while the burning building collapsed around them. Our local hero’s worked tirelessly to rescue all from the rubble but unfortunately nobody came out unscathed.

they have been airlifted to WCMC where Shantelle, Jeremiah and Elijah are all suffering with 2nd an 3rd degree burns with my sweet baby Eli (8yrs old ) suffering the brunt of it with over 53% of his body covered in burns Shantelle has been intubated to clear the smoke an sut from her lungs as Jeremiah is fighting through 2nd an 3rd degree burns as well.

this will be a very long journey of healing a long road to recovery .. but I truly believe together we can get them there!. We have seen the rallying for others an I know we are part of a very special community in Wappingers falls. I sincerely want to thank all who were involved in helping extract my loved ones from such a tragic an unfortunate situation as well the others who were involved an injured. We are so great full to be apart of such a great community an thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
