We are War Hammer Wrestling, a youth wrestling team that was founded in September 2020. Our team name and facility may be new, but the coaches and athletes that make it up have been around a while.
We are looking to raise money for equipment, uniforms and travel. The most daunting part of competing in Wrestling at the highest level, is the cost of travel. We have kids who over the last twelve months have competed in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, New Jersey, Utah, Oklahoma and Nevada to name a few. The landscape of wrestling this year, with the current climate, is going to make an already daunting task even harder.
This year we plan on taking teams to compete in Oklahoma (twice), West Virginia, Idaho, Michigan, New Jersey, Utah, Washington, Oregon and Nevada just to name a few. Some of these we will be able to drive to others we will be flying as a team.
The group of kids that train under War Hammer, don't do so seasonally. They practice year round and on average are in the practice room 5 days a week. Most of the summer a large majority did two a day practices! Wrestling is not a sport that will lead to riches, our kids do this with sole purpose of becoming better wrestlers and most importantly better people.
