Raising 5000 euros for a documentary about people whose lives were destroyed by the war.
Since March 2022, groups of Montenegrin, Russian and Ukrainian volunteers have been assisting with accommodation and adaptation for refugees in Budva.
The Psristaniste Foundation was established.
www.pristaniste.me
Pristaniste helps everyone who fled the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine, regardless of their nationality or citizenship, regardless of whether they are humanitarian or political refugees.
To record the unfolding tragedy and everyday refugees’ life we decided to make a documentary. This film is about people whose lives were destroyed and broken, yet could be restored amid the loss and grief refugees experienced. This film is about people helping and supporting each other despite their nationalities.
Some of the stories from the documentary:
Galya Shvets and her son are from Mariupol.
They left the city when it was under shelling, the water ran out, and her house was bombed.
Galya came to Montenegro, found a job, and her son now goes to school and plays football.
Inna and her daughter Sasha who has cerebral palsy syndrome.
Inna fled her home because the power grid was bombed and there was no electricity in her house.
Inna and Sasha came to Montenegro for the winter to survive.
Pavel Verbitsky with his family
Pavel, an oppositional pensioner, on whom a criminal case has been opened because of his anti-war position. Afterward one of the NGOs secretly took him out of the Russian Federation to avoid prosecution and a jail sentence.
To finish the production of the documentary we need to raise:
Film editing - 3 250 euros
Voiceover and color correction- 15 690 euros
Release preparation – 1 300 euros
Total: 20 240 euros
Taya Zubova, the film director, says:
"The aim of this documentary is not just to record the real stories of the refugees. It will help as well to attract donations to the Pristaniste Foundation by showing what difference in refugees’ life the organization makes. It will help to build a bridge to mutual understanding between representatives of different countries".
