War Relief for Christian Israeli Tour Guide
Donation protected
Last week Gianluca and I visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem with over 15O other tourists led by Ty Gibson and David Asscherick. The main tour guide on our bus was Sandro Jadon, a kind and knowledgable guide who offered a unique perspective that only an Israeli-Arab Christian could provide. During our week together Sandro, who is studying to get his Masters in Divinity, shared the challenges of being a Christian in Israel, where only 1.9% of the population share his faith. Sandro is fervent in his faith and active in his small ten-member church in Nazareth.
As a result of the war in Israel, he says that 80% of the country has shut down and all of his tour groups for October, and potentially beyond, have cancelled, leaving him without income during peak tourist season in Israel.
The amount of $12,000 (without including GoFundMe fees) is what Sandro would have made this month. Any amount we can raise, however, will be a big blessing to him and his family. Thank you in advance!
Sandro—who embodies both Palestinian and Israeli blood and has both Jewish and Muslim friends—is a testimony to how the love of God can transcend ethnic and religious barriers. Let us pray for peace, for Sandro, and for love to prevail!
