Ward 8 Youth at Nationals Park 2018

Hello Supporters of Ward 8 Youth with Natitude!
Last year's outing of Ward 8 Youth was a great success, thanks to your support. 2018 represents our sixth annual event at Nationals Park. Six years ago, ACC started this event with community activist and youth activist Hannah Hawkins. It is a testament to her memory that we continue with this tradition.
It is now that time of year when we ask for your support again to help inner-city youth enjoy an outing out of the neighborhood and into the ballpark across the Anacostia River. For many, this will be their first time at the stadium or even at a professional sports event.
As a result of your support, the Washington Nationals team has decided to partner with ACC to help spread the word about creating Ward 8 Little League teams with coaching, uniform and training support.
Our successful baseball outings not only spur interest in our youth to consider baseball as one more of many sports options, but offers structured guidance during the summer months and the potential for increasing diversity in sports like baseball in the future with home-grown talent.
This year, please help us again maintain a tradition of winning ways with your support to bring 200+ Ward 8 youth to Nationals Park on Sunday, August 19, 2018 with First Pitch scheduled for 1:35 pm. Your donations will defray the costs of transportation and refreshments so that the kids will have an authentic baseball experience. Because we are expecting about 200 youth, we have to increase the amount of our ask.
The proceeds are especially targeted to the youth of the Children of Mine Center. Please make your tax-deductible contribution to this outing.
As usual, we and the kids thank you for your support.
Yours for community progress!
