Warlingham Christmas Lights 2020

Donation protected
Now that the Warlingham Christmas Lights have been switched on, we hope you like them and feel able to contribute a little to our fund raising via this site.

The cost of the Lights is paid for by a combination of contributions from Warlingham's businesses, sponsors, Warlingham Parish Council and fund raising.

Almost all of our fundraising is done on the night of the official switch on, with entertainment, a parade, indoor markets , outside stalls and children's rides.  Because this regularly attracts crowds in excess of 3,000 people, it would be irresponsible in the current circumstances to hold this event, so it has been reluctantly cancelled, but the lights will shine over the festive period as always.

Because the village's traders have been hard hit by the Covid 19 pandemic, this year the committee has decided not to ask them for their usual contribution, and because there will be no Switch On evening, the lights committee will have vastly reduced income.

To light a new tree, or re-string a one where the lights of worn out, can cost up to £5,000, so, if you like the lights and would like to contribute, please do so here.

We will light up Warlingham through this Covid Christmas and be back even brighter next year.
