Warm Hearts, Warm Homes: A Winter Survival Project

Bringing Warmth to Those in Need
Winter is here, and for many, it’s a season of joy, warmth, and togetherness. But for thousands of elderly individuals and struggling families, winter is a terrifying fight for survival. Right now, people in our communities are freezing in their own homes, unable to afford heating. Tragically, some won’t survive the season.
Every year, we hear heartbreaking stories of people, especially the elderly, who pass away simply because they couldn’t stay warm. In 2023 alone, over 8,000 excess deaths in the UK were linked to cold homes. These aren’t just statistics; they’re parents, grandparents, and neighbors, real people who deserve better. This winter, with energy costs soaring and the winter fuel allowance cut, the situation is worse than ever.
My name is Daniel, and I’ve started this campaign because I can’t stand the thought of people suffering like this, it’s not right. No one should have to choose between eating and heating their home. No one should shiver through the night, wrapped in layers of old blankets, hoping they make it to the morning.
What We’re Doing About It
I’m raising funds to provide immediate help and work on a long-term solution.
Immediate Help: Your donations will go toward purchasing and delivering portable heaters to elderly individuals and low-income families who can’t afford to keep their homes warm. A single heater could mean the difference between life and death for someone this winter.
Long-Term Solution: I’m also working on a sustainable, innovative solutions to keep people warm in the future, one that will provide long-lasting comfort while reducing reliance on costly heating.
How You Can Make a Difference
Every donation will go directly to the cause. No donations will be used to cover my time or labor, I’m doing this entirely at my own expense because I believe it’s my responsibility to help. Your contributions will fund:
- The purchase and delivery of portable heaters.
- Research and development for long-term, sustainable solutions.
£20 provides a heater for one household.
£50 keeps two families warm this winter.
£100 or more can help us reach more homes and develop our long-term solution.
Your contribution alone could save someone's life.
Why This Matters to Me
This isn’t just a campaign; it’s a call for kindness, for action. No one should suffer in silence. I’ve seen the pain and fear in the eyes of those living in freezing conditions. The thought of someone’s grandparent or a struggling single parent dying because they couldn’t afford to stay warm breaks my heart, and I know it breaks yours too.
