Warrenton Walmart Lady, Yvonne Smith
Donation protected
If you live in Warrenton, Virginia and have ever shopped at Walmart, there is a good chance that you have met Yvonne. Until she had to resign, due to health issues, Yvonne served our community by welcoming people to Walmart and later working at the self-checkout when Walmart discontinued greeters. She always had a cheerful smile for customers as they entered and left the store.
Yvonne needs help with car repair costs, because she needs to go back and forth to her doctors. Also, due to a technicality, understood only by the Social Security Administration,
as of this month, she no longer receives her disability check, her only source of income. We have already spent four useless hours in the Manassas office trying to correct the problem. It can take months to get it reinstated.
The cost of her car repair is $4000. She needs an additional $4000 to be able to cover her rent and utilities for three months until the Social Security issue is resolved.
Yvonne’s family has done everything that they can to help, but they do not have the resources to cover these expenses. Yvonne greatly appreciates any help offered. She has always worked very hard until her health failed. Thank you and God Bless You All!
