Warrior Girl McKenna
Donation protected
Some warriors don't have big weapons and armor. Some warriors are 5 years old little girls who are already fighting the battles of their lives.
Meet McKenna! I'm friends with McKenna's mom Michelle. I remember the day Michelle announced her pregnancy with her miracle child. I remember meeting her little baby girl for the very first time at the kickboxing studio where Michelle and I became friends.
I have watched McKenna grow up through Facebook, heard about every milestone, every funny story. I know this little girl is already a big country music fan like her mommy. She is a fairy princess, a giver (who always asks to donate food or toys to shelters, or deliver lunch to workers in the vineyards). She is a leader, and as Michelle says "an angel from heaven".
Well, McKenna just underwent surgery to have a kidney removed due to a large mass. Now they found out that she has stage 3 cancer. The good news is it's Wilms tumor. This means her chances to make a full recovery are excellent!
But, she does still have to undergo chemotherapy. And as we all know, medical care is very very expensive. And this is why we are starting this fundraiser for Michelle, Jamie (McKenna's daddy) and mostly of course for McKenna.
We know they have a big network of family and friends. Many have reached out and offered help. Please consider helping by making a financial contribution, however small it may be. They will need to cover medical expenses, gas to drive to and from the hospital, lost wages, and so much more. Any donation you are able and willing to make will be so very much appreciated by the family.
Let's show them that we are #McKennastrong! She is a warrior and she WILL make it through this!
We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Doernbecher, whose skill, determination, and passion are unsurpassed and will ensure that McKenna will be able to look back on this time of her life a healthy and strong young girl.
THANK YOU!
