Activist Warrior Fund

On May 2nd, a decision in the case of Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health was leaked, indicating that a majority on the Supreme Court was poised to overturn the Constitutionally guaranteed right to privacy in reproductive care for millions of menstruating folks in the United States. By that evening,  Nadine Seiler had pulled Wanda the Wagon up to the steps of the Supreme Court to tell the Justices exactly what she thought about their legal theories regarding government involvement in her reproductive choices.

 

Nadine has been out protesting this violation of human rights DAILY on the steps of the Supreme Court, the Capitol Building, and other spots around the D/M/V region. In 2020, she was out protecting history at the Black Lives Matter Memorial Fence, and now she preserves it. Nadine saved and stores the signs that tell a poignant story of that time. She provides this artwork to the DC Public Library, where it is digitally archived and can inspire others.

 

Nadine has an unflagging determination to be heard. Her unapologetic use of her voice is her superpower, honed after years of fighting the patriarchy for her literal right to life and liberty. If Nadine is to continue to be an inspiration to a formidable force of grassroots activists, she needs reliable transportation. Unfortunately, her car needs several serious repairs, which are expensive. Money raised through this fundraiser will go towards ensuring Nadine has reliable transportation and can continue the fight for human rights on behalf of her community.

 

For every protestor out in the street, many more are standing at the sidelines wishing they had the courage to be out there. When Nadine is out in the streets fighting for human rights, she inspires those people to join in and fight with her. She is a Warrior Goddess for the Resistance, and as a community, it is our job to support our activist warriors who are physically and emotionally able to fight when others cannot.
