Warrior Tony's Fight

Donation protected

Sometimes in life you meet special people that leave a lasting impact. If you've ever met Anthony, Marisa, and Tony, then I can guarantee that they've had a positive & lasting impact on your life. The most genuine and generous people you will ever meet. It is now our turn to give back during their time of need. The Vento's would never ask anyone for a dime, but I know that all of their friends and family are wishing they could help. On behalf of Anthony, Marisa, and the WARRIOR TONY, let's take a small burden off their plate while Anthony & Marisa are both out of work, fighting side by side with their little man!

In early January, Tony started falling out of nowhere and losing muscle control for 3 to 5 seconds at a time. That weekend Tony went into a full grandmal seizure and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. After numerous tests, we were told everything seemed OK and the chance for him to suffer another seizure in his life was only 25%. He was fine for a couple of days but that changed quickly. Since that day, Tony's health has declined rapidly with a diagnosis of a rare form of Epilepsy.

Last weekend, after 8 magical days of no seizures, Tony's health declined further. After countless seizures, we rushed him to the ER at NCH. After numerous tests, the DR confirmed Tony was in very serious condition, and was transported to Golisano Children's Hospital and admitted to the ICU. The medical team determined he was in Epilectus status, which means he is in a constant state of seizures.

After a few encouraging moments, Tony's health has taken yet another turn for the worse. Around 2pm Thursday 5/28, Tony's behavior changed rapidly and by 8pm, he could no longer speak and lost most of his motor skills. His medical team is unsure if this is a side effect of the strong medications, or if it is another type of seizure. His vitals are great and he still is eating and drinking.

Friday afternoon, Marisa had the great idea to get lunch for everyone including the nurses caring for Tony. When Anthony was about to leave, Tony was staring off like he has been, seemingly not knowing whats going on, but suddenly he started to cry out of nowhere. Anthony came back in, picked him up, and while rubbing his back, Tony started to mumble in a very stuttered voice, "Daddy I need you." Unimaginably heartbreaking for a father, but also encouraging that he is responding and fighting like crazy to get back to being himself!

Updates to follow as they become available. I ask everyone who is able, to make a small contribution to assist this amazing family. Thank you for your prayers and consideration!
