Warriors for Addie

I'm Karen McKinley. Along with my sisters Steph and Allison, we're raising awareness for our sister Lisa's granddaughter / our niece Kiley's daughter, Adeline, who's been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Our thoughts and deepest prayers are with Addie, Lisa, Kiley & Michael, and family members. Our hope is that you too find compassion. Please share this amoung friends in your social media groups so we may at least send as many prayers and supportive thoughts Addie's way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Adeline Mae Underhill's world is as innocent as a rainbow. She's recently 7. How then could a team of doctors crash into and rob that innocence using terms hurtful and confusing like Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, DIPG, rare brainstem tumor? They did and our family has been devastated. Although surgery is the treatment for many other types of brain tumors it's not possible for DIPG. Chemo is not effective due to limitations reaching a DIPG tumor. Therefore, Addie will receive Radiation Therapy for ~6 weeks at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville to help relieve her symptoms. Addie's family will face daunting expenses during this time including medical expenses beyond insurance, travel, loss of pay, and child care for her brothers, Skyler & Xander. Your heartfelt donations will help defray these burdens.

Most importantly, our goal is for Michael & Kiley to spend some amazing time with their Princess Addie once therapy is completed.
