Warwick Odyssey of the Mind - World Finals!

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that TWO TEAMS from the Warwick Valley Central School District are advancing to the WORLD FINALS OF THE ODYSSEY OF THE MIND COMPETITION from May 25-28, 2022 at Iowa State University!

 

Our promising young students will be joining approximately 850 international teams in the largest creative problem-solving program in the world!

 

 

Since the beginning of the school year, our teams have worked together for countless hours to solve a predefined long-term problem that involves script-writing and theatrical performance; engineering and construction; set building and costume design; as well as teamwork and social interaction. Teams must also participate in the spontaneous portion of the competition by generating solutions to a problem that they have not seen before.

 

 

Having won several competitions – first at the regional level and then at the state level – our two teams of talented young students are now ready to take on the WORLDS!

 

Please consider making a donation to support their upcoming trip to Iowa! Your generous contribution will defray the costs of:

Airline tickets

Food & lodging

Local transportation

Transportation of sets to Iowa

 

Our goal is to raise $5000 in order to support our two teams (14 students and 4 coaches). Please show these promising young students your support and your appreciation for their creativity, wit, and sportsmanship.
