Washburn ESP Strike Fund

We are raising money for the ESPs (Education Support Professionals) at Washburn High School. The money will be divided amongst them to offset some of the lost wages for the duration of the strike and will go directly to Washburn ESPs for their historically undervalued service. In the event that we raise funds beyond our goal, we will continue to distribute it among our ESPs.

The Washburn ESPs work hard day in and day out to make sure our school runs and provide students with the support that they need.

Their positions include SEAs (Special Education Assistants), AEs (Assistant Educators), bilingual assistant educators, deans of students, and family liaisons. They provide direct support to our most vulnerable students, live in the community, are often products of MPS, and share the same diversity as our students.

We know that our ESPs have an incredibly significant impact on our students and deserve our support while they stand up for what's right in negotiating for safe and stable schools as well as real change for our students.
