Wasmer Adoption Fund

Hi, my name is Mindy, and I’m fundraising for my cousins Wes, and Kayleigh Wasmer. The sweetest baby boy has arrived last week! Bio mom is a friend of Kay’s, she is currently homeless and has decided she is not at a place in her life she can keep or raise her child. She has requested that this amazing couple raise this sweet baby boy.

Unfortunately, he is needing to spend extended time in the NICU due to meth exposure, but is doing well, and getting a little stronger each day. Wes and Kay have been up at the hospital with him, holding him, loving on him, and advocating for him each day.

Wes is a Kansas City Police Officer, and Kay works part time, and is with their two children Ruby and River the other part of the time. They are the most incredible, loving parents to their children, and have always had a heart for at risk children.

This couple is the first to reach out and help someone, volunteer time, meals, and anything they can do for others. Kay hosts Holiday dinners for Police officers, and works countless hours making others feel loved, and cared for. There is no doubt they will cover this baby with all the love and support he needs throughout his life.

This was unexpected for their family, so I’d love to see their community wrap around them, and help fund their adoption fees, so that we can ensure this baby boy will go straight to their loving home, and avoid layers of trauma being pulled into the foster care system, where there are no guarantees they’ll be able to become his forever family.
