Help fund Joe Leather's original play 'Wasteman'
Donation protected
I'm Joe Leather, a writer and actor from the East Midlands. Wasteman is a one-man show about a binman who dreams of being a drag queen, based on my time working as a refuse loader over lockdown while simultaneously running quiz nights in drag (Miss Mariah Scary, if you're curious).
I will be taking the show to the Etcetera Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe at the end of August this year and am trying to raise £1600 to help me get there.
Your donations will provide:
Costume, including lace-front wigs, ball gowns and steel-toed work boots
2 diamante-studded wheelie bins
Venue and tech costs
A director
A composer, Harry Franceschi
Publicity for the show
Thank you so much for your help. Any donation, no matter how small is a huge help.
My 2019 show 'The Lost Musical Works of Willy Shakes' written alongside Guy Hughes, was named as one of the Telegraph's '20 Must-see shows' (****).
