Watch Bobbie Beat Breast Cancer

Funds collected will help her medical bills.  The treatment plan includes chemotherapy for about 6 months then she will need to have surgery.  That will put her out for at least another 6-8 weeks.  The funds are needed in the next few months so that she can concentrate on healing, not her medical bills.  

Working for Mesa County, Colorado for the last 11 years, Bobbie Gross is the Motor Vehicle Manager for the Clerk & Recorder’s office.  Bobbie grew up in Las Vegas and moved to Grand Junction as a teenager. Bobbie’s life necessitated that she become emancipated finish her final years of highschool while holding down a couple of jobs so she could pay rent and get a vehicle.    Before joining Mesa County, Bobbie worked at Coorstek for 15 years, working her way up through the ranks to shipping and receiving supervisor. Bobbie has a 11 year old daughter who is the light of her life and Bobbie is determined to be around for all of the milestones in Maddie’s life.  

Bobbie had an incredibly difficult week in late June - one of those periods in life that builds character and defines a person.  Bobbie bravely ran for office to be our next Clerk and Recorder, working with the support of family and friends during all of her free time aside from her full-time job.  On Tuesday June 26th she was disappointed to narrowly lose the race. While she spent the rest of the week cleaning up campaign signs she was awaiting news from her Doctor.  On June 29th she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

As you can see from her bio Bobbie is a fighter and a hard worker.  We are standing up this campaign to rally behind her as she begins the next character building chapter in her life which will include kicking cancer’s ass.
