Water Air Food Awards (WAFA) is a 17 year old, 100% volunteer-run, non-profit humanitarian organization based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a global reach. Our mission is to find and shine a light on local nature-based solutions that solve pressing problems in their communities TODAY. 

Our Impact So Far:

Identified Silent Heroes in 82 countries.

Received 612 award applications.

Reached 84 million people. 

Presented 18 awards to winners in 11 countries across 5 continents (Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America, Central America, Europe)

WAFA identifies and honors exceptional pioneers with proven solutions, helping them scale and replicate their success one community at a time. By giving exposure and recognition, we empower these local heroes to make a broader impact.
