Community Water Refill Station Fundraiser
Donation protected
UPDATE (7/29/24): We reached our goal & Benicia now has a free clean water source! The Refill Station was installed, and the Food is Free Shed was refurbished on July 12th & 13th. (I was so busy installing the Water Station that I forgot to give an update.) I am immensely grateful to everyone who donated to and participated in this project! Meeting new people and organizing this with such an amazing community has been wonderful. St. Paul's is hosting an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 1st at 3 p.m. at the newly installed station. I would love it if you came down to say hi. If you donated on GoFundMe and would like a receipt, I will have them available at the Ribbon Cutting. Please check back on this page as I will post a new video showing the adventure from start to finish. Thank you again, and I hope to see you on August 1st. Don't forget your reusable water bottle!
UPDATE (7/9/24): The bulk of the project will happen in just a few days, July 12th-13th. The date was moved due to city inspection availability. Thank you to Soroptimist International and Pearl Thai restaurant for direct donations; the goal has been lowered to $7500. I would like to thank everyone who has helped out so far, we are REALLY close to hitting our financial goal. Here is the signup link for anyone and everyone who wants to participate this weekend!
UPDATE (6/21/24): A huge thank you to Chris Chwala of Ryco Steel Products for our largest single donation so far of $1000. Because of his generosity, the total needed has now been reduced to $8k! Benicia is an amazing community. We are in the home stretch! Send this campaign to a friend or business. We are 3 weeks from our proposed installation date!!!
UPDATE (6/6/24): I am blown away by the generosity of this community and want to thank all of you. We have a confirmed date for the project, which will be July 13th and 14th. We are almost there with the fundraising.
UPDATE (5/20/24): The previous goal of $10,000 has been reduced to $9,000 due to organizations and cash support! Thank you all for your continued support. We are going strong. Let's keep it up!

Hello, my name is Adacus Anderson and this is my Eagle Scout Project.
I am installing a water bottle refill station on East J Street at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Community Meals Program. This refill station will be open to all. Currently there are no downtown public water sources. This gives our downtown area a clean water source that anyone can use. This allows the community meals program to not use plastic water bottles, acting also as a conservation based project.
My project is broken down into four sections:
1. Install an outdoor water bottle refill station: 100% reduction of non-reusable water bottles to be handed out at the community meals. A clean public water refill source for downtown.
2. Food Is Free Shed Restoration: Right next to the water refill station, there is the Food is Free Shed. It is used to give out food to anyone who needs some 24/7. We will be creating a floor for the shed, re-doing the shelving unit for more accessibility, and making it more weatherproof.
3. Purchasing 300+ reusable water bottles to be used by the community meals program in place of single use water plastic water bottles currently being handed out with meals.
4. Extra funds will be donated to cover the water bill, as St. Paul's will be funding the refill station privately.
Thank you all for supporting our community!
St. Paul’s Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
