WaterCycle Education Project
Donation protected
The Water Cycle is an all-female water education and river storytelling bike trip along the Colorado River beginning in September 2021.
These seven ladies believe that the Colorado river, one of America's most endangered rivers, is also a platform for connection among diverse communities.
Our plan is to collect an oral history of the human experiences in/on/around with the river. We will also be delivering high quality science education programs to youth along the way. Through our programs, students will develop a sense of place and document their relationship with the river. Student work will be transported downstream as part of an inter-watershed pen pal project.
Every woman brings her own level of expertise and lived experiences which will be invaluable to connecting with communities along the river. In order to make the trip accessible to all these women, we are hoping to outfit every woman with camping equipment, food, and safety equipment.
