Watkins Funeral Medical and New Baby Expenses

Hi my name is Lori Thomas. My dear friend and former co-worker, Claudia Watkins experienced the sudden and tragic loss of her daughter, Franziska “Red” Watkins.

A little background first. Two months ago, Red, a 32 year old single mother gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Carter. Claudia and Harold became proud Grandparents. For Carter's first two months of life both mom and son had been doing fantastic. Suddenly things took a turn for the worst. Franziska fell ill and was transported emergently to the hospital. She spent a short time on full life support before losing her life. This whole ordeal completely blindsided the family. As a result, Claudia has been given emergency custody of her 2 month old grandson. Claudia, once a proud Grandmother, has become a Mother in the blink of an eye.

Adding to the family's recent burden is the fact that recently Claudia had to have serious neurosurgery and her husband Harold contracted COVID. He continues the long road to recovery. He spent an extended period of time in the ICU. These things have put a great financial burden on the Watkins family. Claudia and the entire Watkins family are in need of our help and support. I am asking for your help as Claudia and her family begin this long road. Any support you can provide will help Claudia and her family pay for their daughter's burial, cover medical expenses and deal with the expenses of caring for a new baby.
