WATO Mutual Aid-Help Replace Blown Out Speaker
We Are The Ones is a collective of Black and Indigenous Queer and Trans artists who mobilize their communities through art, projects, and mutual aid initiative in order to empower and build Creative Resistance for liberation.
During an event fundraising for Casa Chihuahua and Orchid House, the powered loudspeaker was blown out in the process of playing live music unfortunately. A speaker is essential in allowing the collective to continue providing spaces for QTBIPOC creation and resistance.
Funds will supply the collective with a replacement loudspeaker so that we may continue to create and honor safe spaces for QTBIPOC folx to share our creations with the world.
WE KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE! It is through mutual aid that we create strong support systems within our community and reallocate power and resources to Queer and Trans Black and Indigenous folx. We are turning to our community because we can’t do this without your help.
