Waylon Spradling was a precious child of God that brought joy to so many people. Although he was born with health complications, he was extremely strong and resilient. God performed many miracles of healing for Waylon's body throughout his life that defied reasonable medical certainties. Sadly, God called little Waylon home on 12/31/22. He was only 1 year old. He passed away in his sleep. While his life on earth was short, the impact of his life could be felt across Ellis County and beyond. His life's story renewed the faith in Jesus Christ's healing power for many people that struggled to comprehend it. Men, women and children prayed for Waylon, despite never meeting him. Waylon left behind a legacy in just 12 short months that many of us have spent decades trying to create. He was able to remind us, through his resilience, that we don't have it as bad as we think we do. And he could accomplish that with just a smile from a hospital bed. Waylon left behind a mother, a father, a 4-year-old sister, many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless strangers that prayed for him.
We are raising money to lighten the financial burden for the family, in preparation for Waylon's memorial, as well as any lingering medical bills that have accumulated. While it is understandable for the family to grieve during this difficult time, they shouldn't have the added stress of financial checks and balances that accompany the loss of a loved one. Thank you in advance for your generous support for a family whose New Year wasn't so happy. God Bless You!
