Wayne Allen Summer in Salzburg

My name is Marvin Wayne Allen II, and I am currently a Junior at Morehouse College where I am pursuing my B.A. in Music. I currently hold a cumulative GPA of 3.60. This summer I have been selected to participate in the University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Frost School of Music at Salzburg, Austria 2018 program. In this program students spend July 9 -August 9 making music in the great city of music and the birthplace of Wolfgang A. Mozart! We will receive 2 private lessons per week, 1-2 private coachings per week, 1-1/2 hours of daily German instruction with native speakers, masterclasses 3-4 afternoons per week with faculty and visiting artists, conductors, coaches and stars, tours of the surrounding Lake district, tours of Salzburg (Mozart's houses, Festival performance venues, etc.) and attend numerous world-class concerts, operas and recitals at the world-famous Salzburger Festspiel.


This opportunity would be a huge resource for my academic and professional growth in the field of opera music. I certainly do not want this opportunity to pass, so I am doing all that I can to be able to participate.  My parents and other family members have already payed the remaining balance of the tuition for the program, but I still have a to buy my plane tickets from America to Austria and save money for spending money while abroad. I am working this summer to save money to help fund these things and relieve the financial burden of this program off of my parents.
