In May 2020, Wayne Kirk was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) . The cancer is advanced enough that it has spread to his lymph nodes.
Wayne's prognosis and treatment is still being determined. What is certain is that his medical bills will be significant, not to mention the loss of income that will likely occur from not being able to work during treatments.
We set up this GoFundMe account to assist Wayne's family with quickly accumulating medical bills as well as household and living expenses that come with battling an aggressive disease. Possible treatments may include surgery to remove the kidney and tumors, radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
Wayne has been married to his beautiful wife Melani for 25 years. They live in Utah and have three children; Kody (16), Kaden (18), and Kiley (20) who is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McLean, Virginia.
Wayne enjoys elk hunting, dirt biking, CrossFit, and living vicariously through his sons athletics, including football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling. He is a loving husband and father, an amazing friend, and just an all around good guy.
