Wayne Lundy Memorial Fund

Hi everyone, Sam here, Wayne’s daughter. I’m reaching out with GoFundMe to ask for help in curating a memorial for my father. His death was sudden and shock for us all, leaving many loose ties and and unfortunately little means to offer him a proper send off.

George Wayne Lundy was an incredibly bright, kind, and driven person. He would throw himself into a variety of hobbies, revealing the many talents he possessed in woodworking, leather crafting, and technical problem solving. Whenever he was faced with a problem, my Dad would never give up until he found the solution. I always admired that. Despite being in his 70s, he always had this great sense of adventure and creativity. My Dad was in a lot of ways a big kid and had the soul of a young man. He was passionate about social issues and was always trying to evolve further into the best person he could be. He loved his family and friends so deeply, making sure to check in and lend an ear where he could. My Dad was someone to have in your corner and I was really proud of him.

This fund is set to provide my family and myself the means to cover cremation costs as well as a memorial service to be held early next year. Any amount offered would be a great help. He also had a myriad of leather crafted items such as wallets and phone cases which will be available for sale should anyone be interested.

My Dad was my best friend, I’m forever going to miss his silly jokes, excited smile, and sense of youth.
