Wayne State College Bound, Help Alex Get There!

Hello Everyone! My name is Alexandra and I am the proud mom of Alex, who recently was accepted to Wayne State College in Nebraska. My future Wildcat aspires to become a Diagnostic Radiologist!

This past year Alex overcame significant health-related challenges, which made him work much harder to reach his goals. Alex earned a College Bound Scholarship, however, he was denied entry to Washington State schools he applied to, though he met the requirements for admission. Alex wanted to attend a four-year college and then move onward to medical school

Despite feeling rejected and disappointed, Alex was determined to attend college and begin paving the way for his future. He researched and applied to four-year colleges out of state.

On July 5th, Alex received great news! He gained acceptance into four schools including Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. He chose Wayne State College as they have the most reasonable tuition, solid pre-med program, and offer a small to mid-sized campus where 'students are names, not numbers'. (to directly quote Alex's point of view)

Alex is so excited to take his first step into adulthood and begin building his future!

This is his dream opportunity!

This is the point where we are reaching out to friends, family, and the community asking for your help. As a single mother, my budget needs outside support. We need to get Alex to Wayne, Nebraska for college!

We're planning a road trip to get him to his destination...Fircrest, WA to Wayne, NE

and my round trip home. Can you imagine the overweight and extra baggage fees if he were to fly? No thanks! This road trip will help solidify and complete his first college experience!

Where funds will go:

Excess funds will be utilized toward transportation from Wayne to Omaha airport and round-trip flights from Omaha to Seattle during breaks. (Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks)

We are humble people, snap up deals as they come, and are not above enjoying bologna sandwiches from the back of our car!

I can't bear the possibility of making him rescind his acceptance because he could not get to college...
