Eagle Project Fundraiser for Gaga Ball Pit
Donation protected
Would you like to guarantee the kids at Waterford Montessori Academy (WMA) become more active and have fun while doing it? If the answer is yes, then gaga ball is what you are looking for. It’s played in an octagon shaped pit, and is similar to dodgeball. Gaga ball is an all inclusive game that anyone from any age group, and athletic ability can play. You can play with up to 25 kids at a time at any time of the year.
My name is Aiden Baugh, I attended school at WMA for eight years and now go to the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills. I am a Life Scout from Troop 199, based at the Clarkston Family Farm. I’ve been a scout since kindergarten, advancing through Arrow of Light, cub scout’s highest rank. Currently, I’m working towards the highest rank in Boy Scouts, which is an Eagle Scout. As a service to my community, I will be leading a team to build a gaga ball pit at the WMA Elizabeth Lake Road campus. The gaga ball pit will be built of high-quality composite wood with durable brackets.
Whether for recess or gym, I am excited about the gaga ball pit project because it will provide hours of enjoyment for both elementary and middle school alike. Having a gaga ball pit would add variety to gym class and give students more options during recess and lunch. I recall in 8th-grade when Ms. Colleen took us to Cole Canoe Base for camp and we got to play gaga ball. We all had so much fun and wished there was one at the school so we could have been able to play.
I hope to raise $3,200 by early May, though the sooner the funds are raised, the more enjoyment the kids will be able to get out of it. If you would like to contribute to this worthwhile community service project, you can make a donation. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. Whether or not you can help out, feel free to forward my link to family, friends, colleagues, or to anyone else you think would like to support this worthwhile community service project which will undoubtedly bring smiles to the faces of WMA students. In the unlikely event any funds remain, they will go directly to WMA after the project is completed. Thank you!
